People Also Ask:

Q: Why would a lid be induction compatible?

A: Because this one is also a cooking surface. Inverted and used as a grill pan it sits on the hob like any pan, and the induction base is what allows that on an induction range.

Q: What does the customer actually get?

A: Two pieces of equipment in one: a roasting dish lid, and a ridged grill surface usable on their hob. On an induction kitchen the standard version delivers only the first.

Q: How does it differ from the non-induction lid?

A: Only the base. Both have the grill surface and the juice rim and spout; this one can be used as a pan on induction.

Q: Does it pair with the same dish as the standard lid?

A: Yes, the same footprint. The only difference between the two lids is the base, so the dish compatibility is identical and should be confirmed by dimensions either way.

Q: Is it worth the induction version on a gas kitchen?

A: Possibly, since it works on both. A kitchen planning an induction changeover keeps the second function, where the standard lid would lose it.
