Round black plastic base for 12-inch Sample Dome Countertop / Free Stands (S12C).

The round base works to anchor and support your 12-inch Sample Dome whether it's used in a Countertop configuration, or a Free Stand configuration. The base works together with the 7-inch metal pole (SA12) to elevate the display height of your Sample Dome to 7-inches above any flat surface. (7-inch metal pole is sold separately).

This round black plastic base is included with the purchase of any 12-inch Sample Dome Countertop / Free Stands (S12C). Also sold separately.

FAQ & Technical

FAQ & Technical

People Also Ask:

Q: What is this base for?

A: It is the round plastic base that a 12-inch countertop Sample Dome display stands on. It gives the unit a stable footprint on a counter, a table or a display end, and it holds the coupler that the 7-inch pole fits into.

Q: Is it the same as the floor-stand base?

A: No. Floor stands use a weighted round metal base, supplied together with its height-adjusting pole. This is the lighter plastic base for countertop use, where the counter provides the height and the base only needs to provide stability. The two are not interchangeable, and the poles that fit them are different parts as well.

Q: How does the pole attach to it?

A: A plastic coupler friction fits into the hole in the base, and the 7-inch metal pole then friction fits into the coupler. Push the components together gently until they are snug. No threads, no tools.

Q: Why would I need a replacement base?

A: Usually because one has gone missing between uses, or because a coupler seat has been damaged. Countertop displays are assembled and dismantled constantly, and flat round parts get separated from the rest of the kit in storage. A base with a worn seat lets the pole rock, which shows up as a display that will not sit level.

Q: Which display sizes does it fit?

A: It is listed for the 12-inch countertop unit. If you run 16-inch displays, ask us to confirm the correct base before ordering rather than assuming this one carries them.

Q: How stable is a plastic base on a counter?

A: Sufficient for the countertop unit it is designed for, which stands 7 inches tall rather than 38. Height is what makes a display want to tip. A short unit on a counter has a far easier job than a floor stand, which is why a plastic base is adequate here and would not be for a floor unit. Keep it back from the counter edge regardless.

Q: What is it made of?

A: Plastic, matched to the other non-metal components in the range. That means it wipes clean with everything else and does not need separate treatment.

Q: How is it cleaned?

A: Wipe it down when the display is dismantled. It does not contact food, but it sits on the same counter as the samples and collects whatever the counter collects. Include it in the end-of-shift clean rather than treating it as furniture.

Q: Does it come with the pole and coupler?

A: This item is the base. The 7-inch countertop pole is a separate part. If you are rebuilding a countertop display from components, order both and tell us what you are rebuilding so we can check nothing is missing before it ships.

Q: Should I keep a spare?

A: One across a set of countertop displays is enough. Bases very rarely fail. They get lost, and a single spare on the shelf covers that risk for the whole fleet.
