Adhesive Sign Holder for use with 12-inch Sample Dome Lid (S126) and 16-inch Sample Dome Lid (S16D). The sign holder measures approximately 3-inches long.

Simply apply the adhesive sign holder piece to the lifting tab portion of the clear acrylic dome (works with 12-inch or 16-inch dome lids). Slide a printed, or hand-written paper sign into the sign holder to display information about the food items you're sampling.

The sign holder works well with a standard business card sized paper sign (ticker card stock paper).

FAQ & Technical

FAQ & Technical

People Also Ask:

Q: What is the sign holder for?

A: Holding a small card on the dome itself, so the price, the product name or the offer sits with the sample rather than beside it. It is the only part of a Sample Dome unit that does sales work. Everything else protects the product or keeps it cold.

Q: Where does it attach?

A: To the extended handle section of the clear dome, using its adhesive base. That places the card at the top of the display, at the point the customer is already looking as they reach for a sample. A card lying flat on the counter competes with everything else on that counter.

Q: How is it fitted?

A: Remove the white film from the bottom to expose the adhesive, then press it onto the handle section of the dome. Clean and dry the surface first. Adhesive on a dome that has just been wiped with sanitiser will not hold.

Q: Is it included with a unit or bought separately?

A: A sign holder is included with the Sample Dome displays, and it is also sold separately. You buy it separately to replace one, or to add holders to displays that have lost theirs. On a fleet of units these go missing more often than they break.

Q: How big is it?

A: Three inches long. Size your cards to that. A card much wider than the holder will pivot or lift at the edges, and one much narrower looks like an afterthought.

Q: Can I move it to another dome?

A: Treat it as a single-use fitting. It is adhesive mounted, and adhesive rarely survives a clean removal. If you rotate domes between displays, it is cheaper to put a holder on each dome than to move one back and forth.

Q: What should the card actually say?

A: Price, product and one reason to try it. Nothing more. A customer walking past a sampling display gives it about two seconds. A card that needs reading has already lost. Short beats complete every time in this position.

Q: Does it interfere with opening the dome?

A: It mounts on the extended handle section, which is the part designed to be gripped. Fit it so the card sits above the grip rather than across it. A holder placed badly turns the handle into something customers avoid touching.

Q: Should I stock spares?

A: Yes, more than you would expect, because they are small, cheap and easily lost. They come off with a dome change, get knocked in transport and disappear during storage. A handful on the shelf costs very little against the alternative of an unpriced display.

Q: Can I use it for allergen or ingredient information?

A: A three-inch card is the wrong place for anything a customer needs to read carefully. Use it for price and product name, and put allergen and ingredient information where it can be read properly and kept current, in line with your own labelling obligations.
