PROFESSIONALS TRUST US – FOR A LIFETIME
The knife is the extension of the chef's arm. With the Premier Plus series, your knife works practically by itself. This gives you time not only to concentrate on your craft, but also to give your creativity free rein to create exciting dishes. This is exactly what trained professional chefs and our top chefs appreciate about the F. DICK brand - quality that will accompany you for a lifetime.

FORGED BALANCE
All Premier Plus knives are forged and perfectly balanced. Already during the development of the knives, we placed special emphasis on optimising the weight distribution between the blade and the handle so that the knife feels light and comfortable in your hand. Imagine your handle is too heavy or your blade too heavy. Your knife would always tend towards the heavy side and you would have to fight against the weight when cutting. This will certainly not happen with Premier Plus knives.

SHARP
The blade is made of the high quality X50CrMoV15 steel alloy. Each component of this steel has its own impressive features. Thanks to the high carbon content, the edge retains its sharpness for a particularly long time, the chromium content reduces wear and the molybdenum makes your knife particularly corrosion-resistant. We have also decided to polish the cutting edge to give the knives a special sharpness. Premier Plus knives are uncompromising in their design when it comes to sharpness. The food is cut exactly and not broken or squashed. This way, you work with precise, clean cuts, allowing the variety of flavours in the dish to come to the fore.

ERGONOMIC HANDLE
The Premier Plus knives support you in your kitchen adventures. Our special handle concept also speaks for itself: The handle and blade are joined together without gaps, making them particularly hygienic and easy to maintain. The handle feels comfortable and adapts to your hand thanks to its ergonomic design. This is important to prevent your hand from tiring quickly when you use the knife for a long time.

KNIFE CARE
All F. DICK knives deserve special care and attention when it comes to maintenance. Proper knife care is crucial. Knives that are forged or have a wooden handle should never be cleaned in the dishwasher. Knives with plastic handles are completely dishwasher safe; however cleaning in a dishwasher is much more aggressive than washing by hand.

The use of highly concentrated detergents, leaving the knives in hot steam for a long time and also the presence of certain food residues can lead to pitting on the blades or even corrosion. We recommend clean the knife by hand with a soft cloth and a mild alkaline detergent. Wipe your knife after cleaning to ensure that tit is thoroughly dry – this will prevent any pitting on the blade. You can occasionally maintain knives with wooden handles with food-safe oils (e.g. olive oil). The oil makes the handle nice and smooth and prevents shrinkage and cracks.

PROFESSIONAL KNIFE STORAGE
For your safety and to protect the cutting edges of the blades, we recommend that you store the knives in a suitable knife block or on a magnetic rail. When buying a knife block, make sure you buy one with enough space and horizontal slots to protect the knife blades. We recommend our own blade guard for storage in a drawer - Edge Guard. or alternatively, dimensionally accurate compartments built into the drawer.

HOW DO KNIVES STAY SHARP FOR A LONG TIME?
Knives stay sharp for a long time if they are only used for their intended purpose. The knives should only be used for cutting and not chopping. Bones or the like should therefore only be cut with a cleaver.

WOODEN OR PLASTIC CUTTING BASES
Hard surfaces such as stone (e.g. marble) or glass should not be used as a base, as they quickly blunt the knives.

People Also Ask:

Q: What is the Friedr. Dick Premier Plus Eurasia Paring Knife best used for?

A: The Friedr. Dick Premier Plus Eurasia Paring Knife is best used for precision cutting tasks such as peeling, trimming, garnishing, slicing small fruits and vegetables, and detailed ingredient preparation. Its compact blade design gives culinary professionals and serious home cooks greater control during delicate prep work where larger chef knives can feel oversized or less accurate. In practical kitchen environments, this type of knife is often used continuously throughout service for high-precision cutting applications that demand speed, consistency, and clean presentation. Within the Premier Plus Series, the forged blade construction and ergonomic handle design support long working sessions while maintaining stability and cutting confidence. That combination makes it particularly valuable in professional kitchens, butcher shops, catering operations, and culinary education environments where repetitive prep work is part of daily production.

Q: Who should use the Friedr. Dick Premier Plus Eurasia Paring Knife?

A: The Friedr. Dick Premier Plus Eurasia Paring Knife is designed for chefs, culinary students, foodservice professionals, butchers, caterers, and serious home cooks who require reliable precision during ingredient preparation. Professional kitchens depend heavily on paring knives because many prep tasks require fine blade control rather than cutting power. Tasks such as tournée cuts, trimming herbs, shaping garnishes, coring produce, or preparing small proteins benefit from the maneuverability of a smaller forged blade. For culinary professionals, the knife delivers the balance, edge retention, and ergonomic handling expected from a premium German knife series. For advanced home users, it offers a professional-grade upgrade that improves cutting consistency and overall prep efficiency.

Q: What makes the Premier Plus Series different from entry-level paring knives?

A: The Premier Plus Series combines forged construction, professional blade geometry, and ergonomic handling that outperform many stamped or entry-level paring knives used in commercial kitchens. Many lower-cost paring knives are designed primarily for light-duty household use. By comparison, the Premier Plus Series is built for daily professional workflows where knives are repeatedly used throughout prep and service periods. The forged construction contributes to better balance, improved durability, and more stable cutting performance over time. Beyond the technical features, what matters most is how this performs in demanding kitchen environments. The knife is engineered to maintain comfort, cutting precision, and long-term reliability while supporting the speed and consistency required in professional food preparation.

Q: Is the Friedr. Dick Premier Plus Eurasia Paring Knife suitable for professional kitchens?

A: Yes. The Friedr. Dick Premier Plus Eurasia Paring Knife is specifically suited for professional kitchens that require consistent precision, durability, and efficient prep performance. Professional kitchens rely on smaller utility and paring knives for constant detail-oriented tasks during mise en place and service preparation. The knife’s forged blade and balanced construction help reduce hand fatigue while supporting controlled cutting motions during repetitive prep work. From a business perspective, this translates into smoother workflows, cleaner ingredient presentation, and dependable daily performance under high-volume conditions.

Q: Can the Friedr. Dick Premier Plus Eurasia Paring Knife handle repetitive daily prep work?

A: Yes. The knife is built for continuous professional use in environments where repetitive cutting and trimming tasks occur throughout the day. The forged blade construction and ergonomic handle design help support long-term durability and cutting stability during repeated use. In commercial kitchens, prep cooks and chefs frequently rely on paring knives for precision applications that require constant hand movement and control. That combination of balance, sharpness retention, and ergonomic comfort makes the knife appropriate for restaurants, butcher shops, catering operations, and culinary training programs.

Q: Is this knife better for delicate prep work than a chef’s knife?

A: Yes. A paring knife is specifically designed for precision work that requires greater maneuverability and control than a larger chef’s knife can provide. While chef’s knives excel at larger slicing and chopping tasks, smaller blades allow users to work closer to the ingredient with more accuracy. This is especially important when peeling produce, shaping garnishes, removing imperfections, or performing decorative cuts. For chefs focused on presentation quality and prep precision, the smaller blade profile becomes an essential part of daily workflow efficiency.

Q: How sharp is the Friedr. Dick Premier Plus Eurasia Paring Knife?

A: The Friedr. Dick Premier Plus Eurasia Paring Knife is designed to deliver professional-level sharpness suitable for precision prep applications. Friedr. Dick is recognized internationally for producing professional cutlery systems focused on cutting efficiency, edge performance, and long-term serviceability. The Premier Plus Series supports clean, controlled cuts that help preserve ingredient integrity and presentation quality. In practical terms, sharper precision knives reduce tearing, improve consistency, and help operators work more efficiently during high-volume prep periods.

Q: How durable is the Friedr. Dick Premier Plus Eurasia Paring Knife?

A: The knife is engineered for long-term professional use with forged construction that supports durability, balance, and dependable edge performance. Unlike lightweight consumer-grade knives that may wear quickly under commercial use, the Premier Plus Series is intended for demanding culinary environments where knives are used continuously throughout service and prep operations. Combined with proper sharpening and knife maintenance practices, the knife can remain a long-term working tool within professional kitchens and butcher operations.

Q: What results should users expect from the Friedr. Dick Premier Plus Eurasia Paring Knife?
