FAQ & Technical

FAQ & Technical

People Also Ask:

Q: What is the difference between Series 670 and Series 270?

A: 670 is the lighter specification, supplied with three sheets and a built-in juice groove, and it is aimed at both professional and domestic use. 270 is the professional line that takes the carving and chopping accessories.

Q: Which should a customer be quoted?

A: 670 where the board works on its own and cost matters. 270 where the kitchen wants a system it can extend with the 470 accessories. That is the real dividing line, not build quality.

Q: Is 24 x 34cm a professional size?

A: It is the compact size. It suits a small station, a home kitchen, a service counter or a secondary board for one specific ingredient. It is not a main prep surface in a commercial kitchen.

Q: What does the gripper edge do?

A: It gives somewhere to hold the board when it is wet, which is when boards get dropped. Small detail, and it is the sort of thing that decides repeat purchase.

Q: Why do slip-resistant feet matter on a board this size?

A: Because a small light board slides more readily than a large heavy one. On a counter with any moisture the feet are doing more work here than they would on a larger board.

Q: Does NSF certification matter to a Canadian buyer?

A: It is a recognized food-equipment standard and it answers the question before a customer asks it. For accounts that specify certified equipment, it is the difference between a shortlist and a no.

Q: Which three sheets are included?

A: The pack ships with three sheets in HACCP colours. Confirm the exact colours against the current pack before promising a specific set, since these are made up as sets rather than chosen by the customer.

Q: Is three sheets enough?

A: For a compact board covering two or three ingredients, yes. Any kitchen running the full HACCP separation will be adding sheets, which is the natural follow-on order.

Q: Does it have a juice groove?

A: Yes, built into the base. That is a genuine difference from the 270, where the groove comes from the 470 carving accessory rather than the base itself.

Q: Where does this sell best?

A: Retail, gifting, small food businesses and as an add-on to a larger order. It is the accessible entry to the brand, and customers who start here often come back for the 270.
